If you’re a colleague member then we’d like to ask you to consider standing for election to the Members’ Council. The nomination window is open now and closes at midday on Friday 17 February.

Why should you stand?

As a member, you’re one of over 5 million owners of our Co-op, and this is your opportunity to have an even bigger say in how we’re run. Nick Crofts, Council President, explains more:

Find out why 3 recently elected Council members decided to stand for election.

As a colleague member you already benefit from our colleague discount, our membership rewards (the 5+1%), and, if you’re eligible, you get to vote on motions and elections at our AGM. By joining the Council you can take a more active role in how our Co-op is run by holding the Board to account and influencing our policies.

What’s in it for you?

As well as playing a central part in our Co-op democracy, you’ll also get to learn new skills and network with members who are passionate about our Co-op difference. This is a great development opportunity to represent the views of colleagues just like yourself.
