At this time of year things can feel far from jolly – the festivities are over, the days are dark, and the bills start coming in.
It’s a good time to remind everyone about our Employee Assistance Programme which all Co-op colleagues can access for free – 24 hours a day.
Our Employee Assistance Programme is run by Validium – an independent company that specialises in colleague helplines. It’s totally confidential, and they don’t need to know where you work.
You can call for practical guidance and counselling on a whole range topics, and your concern doesn’t need to be work related either – they’re trained to offer advice about health and wellbeing, money matters, relationship issues and workplace concerns.
We’ll be re-launching the helpline soon, as it’s one of the ways we identified we can help colleagues experiencing loneliness – the issue we’ve committed to tackling with our Charity Partner, the British Red Cross. In future the helpline will include signposting to relevant British Red Cross services and other opportunities.
You can talk in confidence, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by calling 0800 970 1030.
For extra support with money matters, we’ve put together this a useful guide for Co-op colleagues – help-with-money.
There’s lots of practical help available on dealing with debt problems and making the most of your money. This is also independent, confidential and free.
