Today we’ve published ‘The Co-op Way report’ which proves beyond doubt that we’re back to being a community focused and campaigning Co-op.

You can read the full report which shows how we’re a better way of doing business in every aspect of our work; from how we source our products and services to our work on Loneliness and the 4,000 local causes we’ve helped so far through Co-op Membership.

We’ve also made a short animation which gives more detail on what we’ve done.

Our latest campaign supports the victims of Modern Slavery. Today we’re also publishing our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement 2016 and our Tackling Slavery report, which shows how we’re helping people rescued from slavery here in the UK to rebuild their lives.

These reports show just how far we’ve come in the last couple of years. Once again we’re taking the lead on ethical commerce and encouraging others to follow us. When you bring together our membership rewards, our work in local communities and our campaigning tradition it makes our Co-op unbeatable.

Our return to being a campaigning Co-op is a major theme of this year’s AGM with motions on Fairtrade, Modern Slavery and helping the nation to recycle. The more members that support these motions the bigger our mandate to get the business behind these important issues. So if you have a vote, please use it to show your support for our campaigning leadership.
