Food stores in Macclesfield have taken on our food suppliers to raise funds for UNICEF and its work to support children in danger.

More than 100 competitors took part in the ‘It’s a Knockout’ experience made famous in the 1970’s and 80’s, tackling giant inflatables, water slides and obstacle courses.

At the home of Macclesfield Town FC, the team from Co-op food stores in Macclesfield competed against suppliers including: Warburtons; Allied Bakeries; McCain; Dunbia: Aunt Bessies: Tulip; ABP; Huntapac; My Fresh; 2 Sisters Food Group; Samworth Brothers; Greenvale Potatoes; Greencore Food to Go; Farne Salmon; Muller; Rowan Foods and Arla Foods.

Food Buyer, Rob Heywood, who organised the event, said:

“This is our third annual ‘It’s a Knockout’ event and once again we are delighted with the response from colleagues and suppliers alike – the day has a great deal of fun and, raised an incredible £45,000 for charity. I’d like to say a huge Thank You to Macclesfield Town FC and to everyone who took part.”
