Last night, our colleagues attended the annual Insurance Post Claims Awards, and we’re delighted to announce that we’ve claimed our first award of 2017.

Claims Team Manager Matt Shannon was crowned Claims Manager of the Year in the ceremony, held at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel in London, for his work over the last year in going above and beyond in his role.

During 2016, Matt took on a number of new roles and responsibilities, including making a number of claims processing efficiency improvements, delivering more than £1million in indemnity savings, and improving engagement scores in our colleagues and customers.

Matt has really focused on #beingcoop in his day-to-day work over the past year, and we’re delighted that his work has been recognised by the industry.

Colleagues Jonathan Guy, Lee Millward, Andrew Holsgrove, Emily Penkett and Catherine Turner attended the ceremony and picked up the sizeable award for Matt (he was unable to make it having taken a well-deserved holiday!)

It wasn’t the only award we were nominated for either. We are proud to have been nominated in the Claims Initiative of the Year category despite not taking home the award.
