Jo Whitfield

Following the changes to the Group Exec that I shared with you a few weeks ago, I’m now delighted to confirm that Jo Whitfield has become our permanent Food CEO.

Jo has been covering the role on an interim basis since February this year. During that time, she’s done a great job leading the work to transform our Food business.

Our Food agenda is ambitious and exciting. I’m confident Jo will get her arms around this huge opportunity and lead our thousands of Food colleagues in the right way, continuing to grow the business and secure our place at the heart of communities across the UK.

Congratulations Jo. I look forward to working together with you as we take our Co-op forward.

  1. Well done Jo! We adore our Coop but please reduce the ‘plastic’ food on display. Increasing ready-made meals only makes us more dissatisfied with ourselves. Please lead us to be healthier and proud of our Coop.

  3. Hope they can get the pay rise further risen as it’s completely disgracefull and also strengthen pay sickness . There no relief for colleagues and feel like we are being treated at a poor grade ! Time they followed other buisnesses in respecting hard working employees in food and helping them by pay increases
Sick pay for everyday off to a certain period
    Further colleague discounts etc !

    • How so courage? Is that in relation to her taking the top job or something else? You may be assuming we know about something we don’t
