I have to say that Steve, bless him, isn’t a great podium presence. He was trying to be all free form and personal by wandering round the stage and not doing an obvious teleprompter/podium thing but it was a bit “meh”.
I know the figures are pretty good but I wouldn’t have got that from Steve’s delivery.
For example, this could have been a lot punchier:
“Things get in the way sometimes but actually what you’ve
enabled us to be able to say to the city, the market, our members is that actually the Co-op continues
to be back;”
If you’re going to to do transcripts please put the Q&A in as that was the most interesting part.
Can we get the cocoa farmer back for the next one ? She was much more fun !
