The Co-op Foundation is our own charity that helps disadvantaged communities work together to make things better. Over the past year they’ve been working hard to tackle youth loneliness, bring communities together and help them work co-operatively to overcome local challenges.
‘Belong’ is the Foundation’s UK-wide network of projects helping young people beat loneliness. One of the ways it’s doing this is through its £2million #iwill fund, designed to create more opportunities for young people to get involved in activities like volunteering, that benefit themselves and their communities.
You can read all about the Foundation’s work in 2017 in its Impact Report, but here are a few highlights:
Get involved and support the Co-op Foundation
- If you’re a member you get 5% back on Co-op brand purchases, and 1% for a local cause of your choice. It can go to one of three local causes, or to the Co-op Foundation’s Belong programme. If you choose to support Belong, you’ll be helping tackle youth loneliness in disadvantaged communities across the UK
