'Right by you - at the right price too' advert

As Co-op and the UK’s leading funeral director we have a duty to make our services as affordable as we can. So I’m proud to announce that we’re doing even more to provide our clients with even better value for money. From today, we’re investing a further £6m in lowering funeral prices by:

Introducing our Best Price Guarantee

We’re committed to providing our clients with a high quality service and we want to reassure clients that we will we do right by them on service and on price too, so we’re introducing a ‘Best Price Guarantee.’

This means that if a client finds the same funeral service at a lower price, we’ll beat it when arranging a funeral with us.

Four million people suffered financial hardship after a bereavement. This was a worrying finding revealed by the Biggest Ever Survey into Death and Bereavement which Funeralcare carried out earlier this year.

Members save even more with us

We’re now taking our exclusive member prices a step further, making our offer even simpler and better than before. Our members can now:

  • Save £200 off when arranging a funeral with us (Simple, Traditional and Classic funeral choices)
  • Save £200 off funeral plans
  • Save £200 off Probate and Estate Administration through Co-op Legal Services (England and Wales only)
  • Save £50 off Cremation Without Ceremony

Colleague members save even more – see the benefits pages on the colleague website for more details.

Price reduction on our Simple Funeral

Our Simple Funeral price will reduce by £100 to £1,895 across England and Wales, which follows a successful trial in Scotland that launched in July. Scotland’s new lower price of £1,675 will continue too.

Cremation Without Ceremony

This new service will be offered and discussed with all our clients at every arrangement from now on so they’re clear on all the choices available to them and they can make an informed choice.

Spreading the word

Today we’ve announced these new measures to the media as well as advertising in national press. These developments follow a number of measures we’ve already taken to tackle funeral affordability and we’re committed to doing even more to help tackle the issue of across Britain. Watch this space.

  1. Seen that through Radio Times you can buy a Funeral Plan with a competitior provider at very close to same price as ours for a set plan with Hearse and 1 limousine and also you need to be a Co-op member.

  2. I am new to working with co-op and I think this will be an amazing journey with co-op and what they can achieve for families at time of need and support.
