It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas; our delicious mince pies are flying off the shelves, our stores are looking super festive in their Christmas POS and our competitors’ TV ads are hitting TV screens.

But we do Christmas a bit differently at Co-op. Even though we’re definitely getting into the festive spirit, November is a time for us to celebrate the £19m we’ve raised for good causes, rather than spending money on blockbuster TV ads.

We’ll properly kick things off at the start of December when our TV ad will continue the story we started this year about food bringing people together, while weighing in on the conversation about when Christmas really does start.

Is it when you eat your first mince pie, when turkeys start arriving in shops, when you pop along to your local Christmas carol service or when your favourite Christmas film is on TV? Our ad will show that when you share delicious food during these festive moments, Christmas is better together.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without community

We put local causes at the heart of our Halloween campaign, and we’re celebrating the £19m raised by members at our Payout Celebration Day in all stores on Saturday 24 November.

We’ll be carrying on with the community theme at Christmas with this year’s take on the Doorstep Challenge. Keep your eyes peeled for more info on how you can get involved soon, and let us know when Christmas starts for you by leaving us a comment below!
