Council members in Sep 2018

Your Members’ Council is looking for more members across the UK to get involved and be a voice for their communities right now. As a colleague, you have the unique opportunity to stand for election and represent the interests of Co-op Members within our businesses, as well as members local to you. Nominations have to be in by midday on 15 February.

To stand for election, you’ll need to have joined as a member before 3 January, 2016, and earned 1,000 membership points between 7 January, 2018, and 5 January, 2019. We’re keen to hear from you if you have the passion and drive to work with others and keep your Co-op values-led – and one you can be even more proud of.

For 2019, we have 3-year term colleague vacancies in the following constituencies:

  • Cymru/Wales
  • North West
  • Scotland
  • West Midlands
  • Yorkshire and the Humber

As an elected representative, you’ll get the chance to ask questions and input into decisions at the highest-level of our business to make sure we’re keeping our members’ interests at the heart of everything we do. By finding out what’s important to them, you’ll be helping us to shape the work we do as a co-op.

It’s a rewarding experience that makes a difference – and we’d love you to be a part of it.

Please visit our election website to apply and find out more. If you have any questions, please get in touch by emailing: councilelections@coop.co.uk
