Cracking new egg box designs in store now
You may remember we invited school children (key stage 2, ages 7 to 11) across the UK to take part in a competition to help us re-design our own-brand, free-range, medium (6 pack) egg boxes? Well, the winners are in and I’m proud to say the winning designs are appearing in stores from today.
The reaction to the competition has been fantastic
I’m amazed to say we received over 4,000 entries, from over 1,069 schools which was really encouraging to see. The lesson plan we created in conjunction with the National Schools Partnership taught children about egg production and encouraged them to get creative which really showed in the entries we got.
We had some really colourful entries, which made picking the winners tricky. We eventually decided on a winning entry from England, one from Northern Ireland/Wales and one from Scotland. Check them out:
England winner– Jayden Lang aged 7
Scotland winner– Nadhrah Abdulmuiz aged 11
Northern Ireland / Wales winner– Anna McNamee aged 11
Congratulations to Jayden, Nadhrah and Anna. I’m really egg-cited to see these cracking designs fly off the shelves over the next few weeks.

My store hasn’t had these in! Is this because we have Yorkshire eggs? (they are in normal coop packaging, it just says from Yorkshire farms). This is a shame.
Love the boxes – pics are so good just looking at Jaydens – well done ☺ mafe me smile Lorraine
