We were overwhelmed with the number of nominations we received for this year’s #BeingCoop awards.

3010 amazing submissions were made, meaning that along with my fellow judges, we had our work cut out to select the finalists.

Congratulations to all our colleagues who’ve made our shortlist. You can find out who they’re at https://recognition.coop.co.uk/2019-awards/

The final judging to choose the winners will be done by the Exec in the next couple of weeks and we’ll announce the 13 winners on 23 April.

Once we know who our winners are, we’ll catch up with them to find out more and will then share their inspirational stories with you over the next couple of months.

Thanks again to everyone who nominated!

If you’ve got any questions about a nomination or the awards you can email thankyouforbeingcoop@coop.co.uk.

  1. Sadly left off this list is the wonderful Sue, Funeral Arranger, of Taunton Funeralcare, Taunton is a large busy care centre, it has not been refitted and was really in a sorry state. Sue was so concerned at what her clients thought she recently painted the entire office, including the passageways and the clients toilets, recovered the chairs, and sourced modern artwork, all in her own time. Just imagine prepping and glossing ten doors! Taunton now looks stunning. She was nominated by several staff members, and we think she is a star.
