Like many of you, I have a number of repeat prescriptions in place to manage my health conditions. I found that I was always running around at the last minute trying to collect prescriptions and medication for my asthma and allergies that I have to take to keep me well. However I’m happy to say that these days are gone and it’s all because of the Co-op Health App.

As soon as I found out about the App and repeat prescription service, I registered and I’ve not run out of my antihistamines or inhalers since. It’s a relief to no longer be reliant on the chemist which was only open during the day when I was at work.

I’d definitely recommend the repeat prescription service to anyone who has regular medications.

If you have a repeat prescription from a GP in England, you can order your medication from your mobile phone or tablet using the Co-op Health App. It’s really easy to register, in fact Co-op Health recently become the first online pharmacy to offer NHS login. NHS login allows patients a single, secure login for their health and care apps and websites.

NHS login removes the need for patients to make a trip to their GP surgery to request information to gain access to online health services. For Co-op Health, this means that you no longer need to visit your GP to get an access code before you can use the repeat prescription app.

It’s easy to register online and works a bit like how digital-only banks such as Monzo work, you just need to provide photo ID and record a short video of yourself to gain approval to use the app in real time – find out more here.

  1. From tapping the order into your phone to the prescriptions coming through your letterbox it’s a brilliant service every step of the way.
    I’ve been using it, for my wife’s medications, since last June and it saves me having to pick up the prescriptions from her GP and also saves me hanging around whilst the pharmacy dispenses them.
    Highly recommended.

  3. Like Gemma, I’ve been using the Health app since the locker arrived in 1AS. It’s been brilliant, I no longer have to run around to find a pharmacy with suitable opening hours or stock – I just log into the app, order my repeat and send it right to my workplace. Genius and a genuine life saver.
