With the help of our 4.6m members donating to the Co-op Members’ Coronavirus Fund, we’ve already helped provide millions of meals for people in need, contributed to the cost of a funeral for families experiencing financial hardship and over 150 local causes.

And when you buy anything from the ‘3 for 2’ picnic range in our Food stores before Tuesday 25 August, you’re helping even more people get access to food.

Raising plenty in 2020

The pandemic and months in lockdown have taken a big toll on people’s wellbeing, with more than half of UK adults (60%) and over two thirds of young people (68%) reporting that their mental health has got worse.

We’re working in partnership with Mind (England and Wales), SAMH (Scotland) and Inspire (Northern Ireland) to bring communities together to improve mental wellbeing.

We’ve already raised over £1m since the start of the partnership and, thanks to your efforts, our partners will be running pilot services to test and learn the role of community in supporting people’s mental wellbeing from October. But we still have a way to go to reach our fundraising target of £6m.

Between Tuesday 25 and Monday 31 August, we’re asking you to put on your trainers, get active and help raise as much money as you can.

Whether you’re a footie fan, keen cyclist or just want to get off the couch, a bit of exercise can also help improve your sleep, boost your mood and manage stress.
