By choosing Co-op, our members have helped raise £15 million for local causes
By April Armstrong, Local Giving Manager
We’re delighted to announce that thanks to Co-op members, we’ll be sharing an incredible £15 million with local causes.
Causes will be receiving their final payout from the Local Community Fund in the coming weeks, and many have already taken to social media to tell us how important this money is to them.
From supporting projects that promote mental wellbeing and access to food, to education and employment, our funding has never been so vital.
To celebrate the impact we can make in our local communities through Co-op Membership, we’ll be asking colleagues, members and causes to take part in payout celebrations. Although this has always been a highlight in the Co-op diary, this year things will look and feel a little different.
Instead of gathering in food stores and funeral homes across the country, we’ll be taking things online to help keep everyone safe.
Stay tuned for further details about how you can get involved, but in the meantime follow Co-op on social media @coopuk and register on Co-op Social Hub now.
Don’t forget, you can also select a new local cause to support using the Co-op App.

Couldn’t be prouder when I read this…..
This is a really fantastic amount. Will the Coop be posting details of this incredible achievement onto external media including Facebook?
Yes. Keep an eye out over the next couple of weeks as we celebrate virtually with our colleagues, members and causes
