Nobody should ever have to go hungry. In 2020, we donated over 5 million meals to FareShare to help keep the nation fed. And we’re kicking this year off with a band. I’d like to invite you all to Music Feeds, a two-day virtual festival fighting food poverty.

Sam Smith, Newton Faulkner and Blossoms are just some of the artists who’ve donated their time and talent to support the event. We’re sponsoring the festival along with Everybody Belongs Here, an ethical promotor working to do good in the entertainment industry.

We’ve already donated £1m to the event, which will be split between FareShare to help fight food poverty, Help Musicians supporting music industry causes and Stagehand who support musicians and live production workers in times of crisis. With the money donated, this will help provide around 2.5 million meals for those who need it most. Plus, all net profits from ticket sales will be split amongst the three charities.

We’re a growing part of the music scene, from our shops popping up at festivals and our new Co-op Live venture in 2023. We’re really excited to be involved in Music Feeds – it’s for amazing causes, featuring some fantastic artists and bands and everyone can join in.

The festival will take place at 8pm on 28 and 29 January 2021. Tickets are on sale now via the Dice website or the app (available on iPhone and Android). The ticket is £15 and gives access to both days. There’s also an option to donate more when you buy a ticket.

If you’re joining us at the event, please RSVP on Social Hub and share the news with your family and friends. We’d love to see as many colleagues as possible joining and hopefully raising a huge amount of money for charity! And who knows – there might even be some more artists announced over the coming weeks, so watch this space.
